Garforth Day Nursery & Pre-school

Garforth Day Nursery has been invaluable for our little family and I cannot praise them enough. Our son entered a alternative childcare setting at 10 months old, and we had a really negative experience which lead to severe anxiety from us both about placing him in a new setting, but it was necessary due to our work commitments.

From day one of explaining our concerns the staff were professional, warm, knowledgeable and extremely dedicated to our sons care. Due to the wonderful care, support and communication shown by the staff we have kept our son in their care, and plan to do so until he leaves to start school.

I can honestly say that Garforth Day Nursery have had, and continue to have a significant positive impact on my sons development, and I cannot thank them enough. We genuinely couldn't be happier!

I first contacted Garforth Day Nursery and Pre School in January to discuss the possibility of my son starting. My son suffers with complex allergies and It was a big step for me placing trust in a childcare setting to manage these. From the first contact Natalie put me at ease, we had many discussion and came up with a plan Natalie shared openly the things they had implemented to support my son while in their care. All staff at the nursery engaged in training with my sons specialist allergy nurse and refreshed their skills in epi pen training. I was given the opportunity to meet the chef to discuss about products and how we managed cooking at home, as well as many sit down meeting with Natalie so she could get a clear understanding of my son and his allergies to relay to the nursery staff.

Both myself and my sons medical team were very impressed with the nursery’s attention to detail and the effort that was put in to not only manage my son but make sure he didn’t feel different in any way. On starting my son settled in very fast and formed excellent relationships with the children and staff members caring for him.

As a parent and teacher I can honestly say that I did my homework when it came to choosing a nursery setting for my little one. Luckily, I was able to visit several other nurseries in Garforth and it was my heart that quickly made my mind up.
Garforth Day Nursery and Pre-school is a very special place and it’s all because of the kind, passionate, skilled members of staff who have been cherry picked to work there!

Firstly and most importantly, when walking around you can feel the kind and caring ethos of the setting. All the children seem relaxed and at home there. I could see that lots of work had been put into creating the calm and tranquil learning environments in each of the rooms.

I am always impressed with the careful well planned learning activities that my child takes part in each week.(All of which are shared with parents online.)

My little girl is always excited to go to pre-school each morning. Her self confidence has come on leaps and bounds and she has made lots of friends there.

The staff are all very friendly and always make time to give you feedback about your child’s day,and any queries or requests you may have are always dealt with promptly. Through the use of tapestry the nursery/pre-school share regular observations and photos showing me how my child is developing in accordance with the EYFS. As a parent I feel this a great way to really see how your child is progressing on their learning journey.

If you are wanting a warm, caring and friendly setting for your child that has good quality Early Years practitioners then I can whole heartedly recommend Garforth Day Nursery and Pre School.

My daughter attends Garforth Day Nursery 4 days a week and she absolutely loves it!! She has been there since she was 5 months and she has come on leaps and bounds.

The nursery is clean, safe and well managed. The staff are very friendly, helpful and informative at the end of each day. She has a great relationship with her keyworker and all the other staff that care for her. Most of all, she has so much fun when she is there...

I have been sending my children to Garforth Day Nursery since 2017, when my now 3 year old was 10 months old. I have two children that attend the nursery, one currently in caterpillars (the baby room) and the other who has just moved to Ladybirds. They both love going and have come on leaps and bounds.

My eldest has made some fabulous friends and she looks forward to going every morning. The staff are great and very caring and build up fantastic relationships with both children and parents.

Whenever I have had any queries about anything, the staff are very helpful and will go above and beyond to find a solution or just to answer my query. A great all round nursery.

We have always found Garforth Day Nursery to be a friendly, cosy setting and a lovely environment for our children to be looked after in. Both our boys have quickly settled and enjoyed being in all three rooms. Pippa has been attending 'Garforth Day Nursery full time for the last four years.

On returning to work after maternity leave there was nothing more important than knowing my child was being well looked after and cared for to the highest standards. In addition Pippa has special needs and has benefitted so much from the learning activities, the amazing staff support and mixing with children her age, singing and dancing.

During this time I have watched my daughter flourish and grow and become an independent person, much of this is down to her attending Garforth Day Nursery, and I cannot recommend them enough.
